In Partnership with PADDLEexpo (Sept 17-19th 2015), Kayak Session mag, Paddle World mag and SUP World Mag are releasing web updates previewing what seems to be the coolest paddlesports items expected to be seen at this year’s World’s biggest Paddlesport Trade show.
New Products @ PADDLEexpo 2015 – The nortik scubi 1 XL, the hybrid kayak. (Manufacturer’s description)
The nortik scubi 1 XL is a foldable/inflatable recreational kayak with the easiest assembly, the nearly lightest weight, affordable price and a very good performance.
The hybrid technology means: We use shaping, high pressure tubes for the most part of the side and the bottom is without air, but with an aluminium keel structure. There are small cross ribs that give stiffness to the width. So, it is a mixture of an inflatable boat and a folding kayak.
The scubi 1 XL is very stiff and performs great! It tracks very good, offers enough space also for tall paddlers, is very, very easy to assemble and with 10 kg in a backpack it is really a bot to take with you! It is sold to a very good retail price with under
1.000 Euro and it will be competitor also to touring boats in this segment. You can optional use a deck incl. a spray skirt and/or also a rudder system, if you want. The boat comes with welded keel stripe, foam padded keel protection from the inside of the boat (a very innovative way to protect the hull where the frame is in the inside!), thigh straps, repair kit, double action air pump, backpack.
> light-weight, ultra-easy to assemble, great performance, very small packing size, cheap enough to reach many people.
