Historic SUP Descent at the Falls of Bruar Achieved by Sam Garthwaite and Team in March 2024
« The Falls of Bruar hold a special place in Scotland’s history. Once a barren landscape, it transformed into a lush and stunning area after the renowned Scottish poet Robert Burns wrote a poem petitioning the Duke of Atholl to plant trees along its banks. Interestingly, Burns penned the poem from the river’s perspective, asking for the trees. This poetic plea resulted in the breathtaking scenery that has always captivated me. Completing the first SUP descent of the Falls of Bruar feels like a dream come true and a proud addition to its history, »
says White Water Pro and Indiana Ambassador Sam Garthwaite.
