Easy canoe day trip on the River Avon near Bath

This short day trip has become a favourite of mine over this last spring and summer, being fairly close to Bristol and Bath. It’s an easy 5 mile paddle of the ‘figure of eight loop’ on the River Avon – starting at Limpley Stoke, downstream to Warleigh weir, a short portage across the railway line at Claverton pumping station to the Kennet & Avon canal and across the Dundas aqueduct back up to Limpley Stoke.
