The 3rd Annual Adventure Fishing World Championship (AFWC) was one for the books! Some of the best kayak fishermen in the world battled 20+ mph winds and a very challenging course to reach and catch fish at 3 of 5 checkpoints. With 30 teams catching fish at the minimum of 3 checkpoints and over 2000 inches of fish scored, Delacroix proved to be an incredibly productive fishery. Big congrats to the new world champions, Jeremy Carson and Cody Phillips! A special mention for Ryan Lauve and Shane Pantoja who were the only team to reach and catch fish at all five checkpoints earning them a solid 6th place finish. Everyone who competed helped prove what is possible in a kayak and furthered the progression of this incredible sport. Thanks to all involved!
